My dream is to be a writer.
My first ever book was published in 2005, during the final year of my optometry school. I did not imagine my first published work would be non-fiction, with a tight 8 week deadline to come up with sixteen chapters. I had an editor and publishing company (McGraw-Hill) in New York, and a co-author in Los Angeles; it was one of the best and hardest things I have *ever* done. What followed was a whirlwind of press (Fox News Chicago, Chicago Sun Times, WGN Radio Chicago, etc) in the midst of my graduation, my new job as an optometrist (drsarahjoya.com), and my big fat eBay wedding!
I am on Amazon! (under my maiden name Sarah Manongdo).
Since then I've ventured into blogging and some of my entries have been published by parenting and optometry websites.
I hope you enjoy going on this journey with me!
